I'm not concerned with this. If he goes to the Mets, the Sox are still 2004 World Series Champions. Now that the Sox won, 1986 doesn't even bother me as much.
We know Yankee fans are suffering now. What if Pedro goes to the Mets and he beats the Yanks in game seven of the World Series? I'm guessing all Yankee fans would spontaneously combust and the world would be a better place.

I'd like to see the Sox make a run at Leiter if Pedro leaves. I didn't see much of him this year. He had 10 wins and 3.21 ERA, which means he was hurt or had bad run support. Maybe a Met expert can tell us. Anyway, he seems like a classy guy who's pitched well in some big games. I'm guessing he'll be on the Sox or Yanks.
