20 years ago

Doc Gooden was better than Roger Clemens. Now as Clemens considers if he should make another $20 million by sticking around for another year, Gooden's on his way back to prison. Tough to find a sadder story.

By the way, did we get Gaddafi yet?

How quickly they rise and how quickly they fall. Very sad indeed.

On a brighter note, I think the Mets have pulled Ron Darling away from the Nationals to do commentary on their games. Sid Fernandez has lost 10 pounds to trim down to 320. Well, Bobby Ojeda had that rough boating accident a few years back so I will not joke about him. Roger McDowell has the toughest job in the world, replacing Leo Mazzone and pitching coach of the Braves.
