Indianapolis Colts

Overall thoughts, then matchup thoughts.

Pro: Best offense I've ever seen
Pro: Manning possibly had the best regular season ever
Pro: Edgerrin James is running like the best running back in the league again, Manning playing like the best quarterback, and Harrison is playing like the best wide receiver.
Pro: The receivers and tight ends aren't bad either
Con: Notice I haven't mentioned the defense yet.
Pro: Dwight Freeney will make some big sacks
Con: That's all Freeney does; he's terrible against the run
Con: Don't have a bye week.
Pro: Playing the Broncos is like having a bye week
Pro: The help Manning and the Colts received from the refs this year was "Lakeresque."
Con: Tony Duny's never been accused of outcoaching someone.
Con: They're a dome team, who will have to play outside to make it to the Super Bowl

When they play the Broncos...

Con: The Broncos have some pretty impressive offensive statistics
Pro: The Broncos have a pretty impressive amount of turnovers
Con: Rod Smith seems to always make big plays.
Pro: Jake Plummer will be throwing the ball to Smith
Con: The Broncos have played the Colts a lot in the last two years, so eventually the Broncos might be able to figure something out.
Pro: Mike Shanahan hasn't figured anything out since Elway left

If they play the Steelers or Pats...

Con: Pats and Steelers have offenses that can keep up with the Colts and both have far superior defenses.
Pro: Pats and Steelers have some question marks in secondary, which should make Manning happy.
Con: Pitt's and New Englands' cold weather will slow down offense, and mean fans might hurt Manning's feelings.

Closing Thoughts
If the NFL and the national media had it's way, Manning will be carrying a Super Bowl trophy. Manning's outstanding play and favorable officiating may make this dream come true. However, for this dream to come true, the Colts will need to overcome their bad defense, Dungy's suspect coaching, bad weather, Bill Belichick's brains, a hot Steelers team, and Manning's nerves.
