NBA avoids lockout

Some good news for a league that needs it. Both sides make tons of money, so a lockout or strike would have been silly. Reducing the lengths of contracts is good news for poorly run teams. The Celtics are still writing checks to Vin Baker (maybe Pervis Ellison too).

Thank God they raised the minimum age from 18 to 19. Instead of having those juvenile 18-year-olds, the NBA will have mature 19-year-olds. Also, I'm sure college fans will be thrilled to have more one year wonders playing for their teams, and professors will be overjoyed having such dedicated students in their classrooms.
