Remember when opening day was special. College basketball was over and people would skip out of work or school to see a day game. The sight of baseball under the sun represented the beginning of spring. And I believe it was the Reds who had the honor of being the first team to start off each season.
Not anymore. ESPN decided to ruin Opening Day. Yankees(up 3-0) versus Red Sox(down 0-3) tonight in a battle of the ugliest players in baseball, Randy Johnson versus David Wells.
