When did he pitch for the Expos? Was it in the farm system?

The Expos traded for him in June 2002. From baseball-reference.com: "Traded by the Cleveland Indians with Tim Drew to the Montreal Expos for Lee Stevens, Brandon Phillips, Cliff Lee, and Grady Sizemore."

Not a bad trade for the Indians. The Expos then traded him to the White Sox in the offseason for the great Rocky Biddle, Orlando Hernandez, Jeff Liefer, and cash.

Oh yes, the dark days in the summer of 2002. When there was almost a strike. When the Expos were stripping their team, and had no ownership to look after the best interests of the team. When a marquee pitcher for the Cardinals named Daryl Kile died in a hotel room in Chicago, with traces of drugs in his system. When the all star game was a 12 inning farce. When 2 fans attacked a KC 1st base coach in Chicago, on the field.
What a great summer, huh?
